Ozujsko!

We caught an early flight to Croatia and it's been very exciting to discover how beeeeautiful Dubrovnik is: a town full of orange roofs, green shutters, and limestone-paved alleys and arcades, surrounded by magnificent hulking walls.  The sparkling Mediterranean is just plain dreamy, and refreshing.  We took a boat to visit an island outside the walls, Lokrum, where there were some wonderful trees and lots of tranquility.  Lord Byron called Dubrovnik the "pearl of the Adriatic" but I can't wait to see the rest of the Oyster!

  1. Hi China and Jonathan! Thanks for letting me know we could post comments to the blogg directly! It has been great fun following your adventure via these fabulous photos. It makes me feel like I am on vacation myself. The suntans look great (we've had nothing but rain here!) and with that clear blue water you dont need showers anymore :) Keep smiling! xoxo

  2. Yes I needed to search the meaning of Ozujsko. If I found the right translation, it would seem that not only are you two experiencing the history, scenery, the people, the food, the hostels and yes the beers(Ozujsko). You both look and sound wonderful. I know you two get a bit cranky without your regular "workouts". I trust you're finding the time, gym, trails or whatever to keep you energized on what continues to look like a wonderful adventure. I'm a wee jealous. Enjoy and have a Ozujsko for me.
